ELMAW Consulting is an Ecological Consultancy run by Keith and Emma Seaman and was established in 2000. Following seven years with a local Wildlife Trust followed by seven years as a Local Government Ecologist, Keith Seaman is the Principal Ecologist and Wildlife Biologist in the Practice, with Emma Seaman the Associate Director, Practice Manager and Assistant Ecologist.
Associate Director & Principal Ecologist
Keith Seaman is a graduate of Hertfordshire and London Universities, with a first degree and post graduate qualifications in Ecology. He is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and a Chartered Biologist with the Royal Society of Biology with over 30 years of experience in Ecology and Wildlife Biology. Keith also holds a Skilled Worker CSCS card.
Emma Seaman, as well as managing the practice is employed as an Assistant Ecologist, carrying out desk and background ecological research, assisting with ecological reports for BREEAMs and Codes for Sustainable Homes, producing Conservation Enhancement Plans for new builds as well as assisting Keith Seaman with bat surveys and holds a Natural England Class 1 bat survey licence.
Katie Dalton who is the practice's Assistant Ecologist is a BSc(Hons) Zoology graduate. She holds an Academically Qualified CSCS card along with being a qualified member of the CIEEM and an Associate member of the Royal Society of Biology (RSB). Last year (2018) she gained knowledge and experience with Herptiles (reptiles and amphibians), focusing on translocation, mitigation and compensation in a few projects this year. Along with her first season of bat surveying.
